The Christian Confession

We live in an age where several Christians believe that their words are literally so powerful that whatever they say comes to pass. Often they term their speech as "Confession".

In fact, several will go as far as describing these speeches as "Confessions of faith". But does the Bible have something to say about this? What exactly does the Bible teach about "Confessions of Faith"?
